With the advanced panoramic image capture mode, you can create 3D models and determine survey-grade 3D coordinates from real video, invaluable in areas where GNSS signals are obstructed, access is limited, or unsafe.
Powered by the next-generation CHCNAV iStar 2.0 technology, the GNSS module incorporates advanced algorithms to improve fix rate in challenging conditions and mitigate ionospheric interference.
Why choose the CHCNAV i89 pocket-sized visual IMU-RTK GNSS?
The CHCNAV i89 is a powerful GNSS system, designed to save surveyors time without compromising on accuracy or performance. Equipped with an interference-free 200 Hz Auto-IMU, the i89 can perform automatic pole tilt compensation, enabling the user to measure data with 3cm accuracy over a 60° tilt range.
The Auto-IMU works with the dual cameras to support Augmented Reality navigation and Virtual Pole Tip™ stakeout, which was found to cut time spent in the field by up to 50%, even for beginner surveyors.
Another time-saving feature of the i89 is its ability to merge drone data with GNSS RTK data to produce precise 3D models, free from rendering distortions typical of imagery collected via drones. Image capture is fast, due to the panoramic capture mode.
The portable receiver is easily transported around the field, weighing just 750g, and has an IP68 rating and 2m pole drop resistance for reliable performance in adverse conditions. The battery takes just 3 hours to reach full charge, at which point it provides up to 16.5 hours of operation.

The i89’s features are refined to maximise efficiency during surveying and mapping tasks, reducing time in the field while maintaining a high degree of accuracy. The dual 2MP cameras enable photogrammetry and 3D modelling. On hazardous sites with hard-to-reach spots, precise coordinates can be extracted from real video.
