The S9 is a high-performance robotic total station providing rapid data capture and processing. Workflows can be customised to enable surveyors to complete jobs faster and more efficiently.
Surveying uses:
The S9 is extremely flexible and capable of tackling the most demanding site applications, including monitoring and tunnelling. This is one of the most impressive Trimble products in terms of performance and time-saving for complex jobs. However, if you only need to complete basic setting-out tasks, there are many options at a lower price point which can complete the work.

Rail surveying:

Why Choose the Trimble S9?
Of all the total stations in our range, you can’t do better for accuracy than the Trimble S9. The potential for 0.5” angular accuracy puts it above its predecessors, the S8 and the S7. The S9 can even match the performance of the Leica Nova TS60 in angular measurements, which is widely considered to be the most accurate commercially available total station. However, the TS60 maintains greater accuracy at long distances.
The only real downside of the S9 is its cost. You want to make sure you’re truly getting the most out of the investment. If you aren’t planning on undertaking complex surveying, or aren’t familiar with all this product’s features, there’s probably a cheaper piece of kit which will get the results you need.
